Product Description
The Omron CQM1-TC001 (CQM1TC001) is a temperature controller module with a heater burnout alarm from the CQM1H series. This module is of the thermocouple input type. A thermocouple input has two input sensor types. The two sensor types are types ‘J’ and ‘K’. Both inputs sensors have set point ranges: the J type’s range is -100 to 1,500oF (100 to 850oC); the K type’s range is -300 to 2,300oF (200 to 1,300oC). The CQM1-TC001 can use either 1 or 2 control loops. The temperature control module uses a NPN output transistor as its output form. The output voltage itself is 24VDC and its current is 100mA. The modules internal current consumption is 220mA when the DC voltage is 24V. The CQM1-TC001 controller module’s external supply voltage was 24VDC and is current is at minimum of 15mA.The CQM1-TC001 can have a parameters set and data conned for this controller by conveying commands from the PLC. Commands are able to be communicated by using the “Transfer I/O Command” instruction that may be prepended to a CQM1H CPU unit. The CQM1-TC001 temperature controller has an advanced feed-forward circuitry that makes sure temperatures remain stable and controlled.
In an Omron configuration, the CQM1-TC001 temperature controller module, being a thermocouple input unit, may be placed next to a CQM1-TC10[]/30[] since it is a platinum resistance thermometer input. This configuration naturally will connect to the corresponding units: a thermocouple and a platinum resistance thermometer. Also in the configuration, the CQM1-TC001 may also be joined to special I/O modules and a CPU unit.
