Product Description
The Omron CQM1-OD216 (CQM1OD216) is a CQM1 series output control module with 32 points. The control module is not permitting to use a screw terminal since the module itself is too small instead, a PNP transistor is used. There are forty pins which can be classified with the appellations A1-A20 and B1-B20. Pins A1-A8, A11-A18, B1-B8, and B11-B18 are all individual outputs. All output points participate in one circuit. Pins A9, A19, B9, and B19 are 0V terminals and pins A10, A20, B10, and B20 are COM terminals. It is to be noted that even though the 0V and COM terminals are internally connected, they still must be wired.The CQM1-OD216 control module has a maximum switching capacity of 0.5 Amp when it at 24VDC +10%/-15%. The leakage current is 0.1 Amp and the residual voltage is 0.8V. The module’s internal current consumption is 240mA at 5VDC. The service power supply must be at least 160mA because ever ON point generates 5mA (there are 32 points) at 24VDC +10%/-15%. Finally, the ON delay for starting the CQM1-OD216 is 0.1ms while the OFF delay is 0.3ms.
In an Omron configuration, beside the power supply should be a CPU; next to the CPU can be any specialized input or output control module such as the CQM1-OD216. The output control module makes its connection to fellow control module by the use of its connectors which is subsumed on the side of the modules. These connections then can be safely secure by the sliders residing on the top and bottom of the control module.
