Product Description

The Omron CS1W-ID291 (CS1W-ID291) is a CS1 series input control module with 96 points. The CS1W-ID291 control module has an input voltage of 24VDC and a current of approximately 5m Amp. The ID291 has 96 points which is divided between the CN1 and CN2 connectors. Both Connectors have pins named A1-A28 and B1-B28. For both connectors, pins A1-A8, B1-B8, A10-A17, B10-B17, A19-A26, and B19-B26 all receive individual input. Pins A9, A18, and A27 for both connectors are COM terminals. Pins B9, B18, B27-B28, and A28 are terminals with no connections (NC), and this is also true for both connectors. Not only that, but both connectors of the CS1W-ID291 have three circuits, and all have an input voltage of 24VDC as previously mentioned.

The CS1W-ID291 input control module can be mounted on different racks such as the CPU rack, CS1 expansion rack, and CS1 long-distance racks. There are no connectors or sliders placed on the module. Therefore it requires some sort of expansion rack or backplane. These modules can connect to the expansion rack or backplane by a hook and connector which are on the back side of all these modules. In an Omron configuration, this input module may be placed as a specialized input output module alongside another specialized input output module or serial communication module with a CPU unit and a power supply. By having the CS1W-ID291 control module in the Omron configuration, it can now operate as an input module for the system. The CS1 system can connect to a host computer, keypad, programming console, and many other devices.
